Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) is pleased to announce the Budawang Pavilion is available for hire!
Since 20 March 2020, the Budawang Pavilion was transformed into Australia’s first COVID-19 drive-through testing facility run by Canberra Health Services and, more than 71,000 people have presented for COVID-19 testing at this drive thru.
The move was prompted by hirers who wish to return to running large-scale events at EPIC, which was not possible during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. A deep clean and sanitisation is underway for the Budawang Pavilion in preparation for its re-opening.
The testing site has now moved to the smaller Quokka Pavilion located at the main entrance to EPIC and will continue to operate seven days a week, from 9.30am to 5pm, operated by staff from Canberra Health Services. Drivers and passengers are not required to leave their vehicle nor book an appointment in advance.

BUDAWANG PAVILION
After a deep clean and sanitisation, the Budawang Pavilion is now available for your next large-scale event.
The Budawang Pavilion offers the largest exhibition space at EPIC and offers over 3000 square metres of carpeted floor. With drive through roller door access, designated rig points, optional natural light or black out blinds, purpose built catering facilities, kiosk and amenities conveniently located, you can stage any style of event. The only limit is your imagination!
EPIC have been endorsed by the ACT Government to host events at up to 75% within each indoor and outdoor space and up to a maximum of 2,000 people.
The large floor space in the Budawang Pavilion provides you the prospect to mitigate areas of potential congestion and ensure the event operates in a COVID-Safe way.
The staff at EPIC can you assist you in formulating a COVID Safe Plan in line with the venue’s density limits and Public Health Emergency Directions.
For a limited time, any new bookings from July until December 2021 will receive $500 towards equipment hire, valid for the Budawang Pavilion only – terms and conditions apply.
